Soin et Nature, your online organic pharmacy specializing in alternative medicine, offers you its new range oforganic essential oils. In our pharmacy, we exclusively offer chemotyped essential oils from pharmaceutical laboratories.
The essential oils we distribute are 100% pure, 100% natural and 100% complete or integral. HECT or HEBD essential oils: We only sell essential oils certified ORGANIC by ECOCERT, H.E.B.B.D. (Huiles Essentielles Botaniquement et Biochimiquement Définies) and H.E.C.T. (Huiles Essentielles ChémoTypées).
When applied to the skin, essential oils pass through the skin's pores into the blood capillaries, which guide them to the target organ, enabling them to act deep down throughout the body. After absorption, they are then eliminated by the emunctories (organs responsible for eliminating toxins) such as the lungs via sputum or mucus, the skin via sebum and perspiration, the kidneys via urine and the intestine via stools. It is therefore essential to use quality essential oils, 100% pure and natural, of controlled origin and chemotype, non-deterpenated, with EOBBD designation (which means that the Essential Oil is Botanically and Biochemically Defined), to store them in good conditions (hermetically sealed bottle protected from light) and to always use them diluted and in low doses.
Most essential oils need to be diluted to 1/5 (high concentration, reserved for medical use), more often to 1/10 or even 1/20 or 1/100 (low concentration, common for use in cosmetology). Do not mix more than 3 E.O.s in the same preparation.
As a general rule, essential oils should not be used on pregnant or breast-feeding women, especially during the first three months of pregnancy when foetal tissue is forming, or on children due to their enzymatic immaturity. For production animals and pets, aromatherapy must be adapted, as some species lack certain metabolic enzyme systems.
Certain essential oils can be toxic and dangerous if the precautions for their use are not taken. Pregnant or breast-feeding women and children are advised to use homeopathic remedies, herbal therapy or hydrolatherapy (floral waters).
Despite certain preconceived ideas, it is not advisable to take essential oils orally as a matter of course. In fact, some essential oils can be toxic and dangerous to the liver, kidneys, digestive system and nervous system. If in doubt, opt for cutaneous application or the respiratory route (inhalation, olfaction, diffusion).
A quality essential oil should be natural, ideally organically grown. In this way, you can be sure that your essential oil contains no pesticides or GMOs... Organic essential oils (at least 95% organic) are stamped AB, Cosmébio or Ecocert.
An essential oil that is " 100% pure, natural and total " is labelled " H.E.B.B.D." ( HECT and biochemical essential oil). (HECT and biochemically defined essential oil). This is the guarantee of a product with no additives, real traceability and strict control. On the bottle, you'll find not only the plant's Latin name and botanical family, but also the chemotype - which defines the biochemically active and majority molecule(s) - and the expiration date...

There's one essential thing you need to know: an essential oil is a complex, concentrated, liquid aromatic plant extract obtained by steam distillation of aromatic plants or plant organs (flower, leaf, wood, root, bark, fruit, etc.). This is the distilled essence of the aromatic plant. As such, they concentrate active molecules whose biochemical families should be identified and used with care:
Aromatherapy may be a natural medicine, but it is far from being the "soft medicine" it is usually described as. According to aromatherapist Jean-Pierre Willem, "It's not alternative medicine. It's not possible to self-medicate". Just one teaspoon of cedar essential oil, for example, can be enough to cause death. It's best to avoid gambling with your health by mixing essential oils without knowing their molecular content and appropriate dosages.
