Arkogélules: Arkopharma’s flagship line

Arkogélules is a very extensive French phytotherapy line, with over 100 products designed to meet everyone’s needs. It benefits from all of Arkopharma’s innovations to draw the best from nature. The origin of the plants is verified to ensure the production of 100% plant-based capsules.

The manufacturing process is sequential to preserve all of the plant’s active ingredients and qualities. The entire plant ( totum ), harvested at peak maturity, is therefore used in production. The “totum” refers to the whole plant, as it contains a multitude of active and inactive components that act synergistically with one another. Some components enhance the effects of others, while others counteract the drawbacks or side effects of certain ones. The composition varies, as it depends on climatic conditions, the harvest period, and soil type. This in no way compromises quality, as checks are conducted for botanical identification, physicochemical analysis, and more.

Here is the manufacturing process:

First, the fresh plant is harvested at full maturity, then it is dried. Once a plant is cut, it wilts quickly and enzymatic degradation occurs. The integrity of the plant’s constituents, as they exist in the fresh plant, can only be preserved through proper and rapid drying. This is followed by steam sterilization to eliminate any bacteria while preserving quality. Once the plant has been selected, dried, and cleaned, it is time for cryogenic grinding, a high-performance process that preserves all the constituents and thus maintains their synergistic action. Finally, the product is packaged in vegetable-based capsules as part of a consistent approach; Arkopharma has chosen to use capsules made from plant fibers derived from pine and spruce species.
