    Properties Boldo

    Boldo leaves contain an alkaloid boldine.

    - Cholagogue and choleretic (boldine)
    - Diuretic
    - Anthelmintic

    Boldo leaves are used in herbal medicine for adults and seniors, orally, in particular to support the gallbladder, and to calm the stomach, difficult digestion, urinary tract or liver disorders, dyspepsia and small spastic disorders of the gastrointestinal tract.

    Dosage of infusion Boldo

    Infusion: 10 g / liter, infuse 15 min, drink 500 ml / day (choleretic effect)

    As tea: 1-2 g of plant material that can be drunk as an infusion in 2 or 3 times a day.

    How to make a easy infusion of leaves of Boldo.

    • Pour 1/2 liter of boiling water (removed from the heat once boiling) 1 c. Coffee (3-5 g) herb (or herb mixture), then cover.
    • Let steep for 3 to 5 minutes for fresh plants, and 5 to 15 minutes to dry plants.
    • Strain and drink the tea hot or not after adding some honey or natural syrup.
