Drosera Complex L64 dry coughs LEHNING Drops 30ml Homeopathy

Coughing is a natural bodily mechanism used to cleanse the airways of inhaled impurities. It is usually due to irritation of the entire respiratory tract, including the trachea and bronchi.

In the case of bronchitis, the cough is generally "dry" at first, then becomes oily over a few days. But during a winter respiratory infection, the cough can be "mixed": sometimes dry, sometimes oily, depending on the moment. After such a viral episode, the cough lasts for 3 to 8 weeks, even though the illness has been cured, because the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract has been weakened: this is called "post-infectious" and "sub-acute".

Often, a sore throat may follow the cough, in which case, a soothing throat spray can complete the treatment.

GLOSSARY

alcohol

A general term referring to a family of substances that can be mixed with water and fats. The most common alcohol is ethyl alcohol (ethanol), but there are many other types of alcohol: methanol, butanol, etc. The proof of an alcoholic solution corresponds to the volume of pure alcohol present in 100 ml of solution, bearing in mind that 1 wine glass or 1 half-pint of beer (25 cl) contains approximately 8 g of alcohol.

When alcohol is used as an antiseptic, a denaturant with an unpleasant odor is often added to prevent it from being drunk. Contrary to popular belief, 70% alcohol (or even 60% alcohol) is a better antiseptic than 90% alcohol.

See the article: Alcohol Dependence

complex

A term used to describe a combination of several homeopathic remedies. Generally, the dilutions used are low: from 3 DH (Hahnemannian decimal) to 6 CH (Hahnemannian centesimal).

DH

Abbreviation for Hahnemannian decimal. It corresponds to a one-tenth dilution of a homeopathic substance (i.e., 1 part substance to 9 parts water). 6 DH means that the substance (mother tincture) has undergone 6 successive one-tenth dilutions.

gout

A condition characterized by redness and sharp pain in a joint (most commonly the big toe), caused by an accumulation of uric acid crystals.

See the article: Gout

homeopathy

A method of treatment based on two principles: the use of substances with effects similar to the symptoms of the disease they are intended to treat, and the infinitesimal dilution of these substances.

See the articles: Homeopathic medicines

Otitis

Inflammation or infection of the ear. Otitis externa affects only the ear canal. Acute otitis media and chronic serous otitis media affect the part of the ear located behind the eardrum (middle ear).

See the articles: Otitis and Ear Pain in Adults and Acute Otitis in Children.

nasopharyngitis

Inflammation of the upper part of the pharynx, located behind the nose and above the soft palate. It can be caused by a virus or bacteria.

See the article: Nasopharyngitis in Children.

Sinusitis

Inflammation or infection of the sinuses.

See the article: Sinusitis.

symptom

A condition experienced by a person with an illness. The same symptom can indicate different illnesses, and the same illness does not necessarily produce the same symptoms in all patients.

homeopathic treatment

Treatment based on the administration of highly diluted substances of plant, animal, or mineral origin. The main principles of homeopathy are similarity (the use of substances that produce effects similar to the symptoms of the illness), infinitesimal dilution (the substances used undergo multiple dilutions), and the holistic approach (the treatment targets not a specific organ, but the individual as a whole).
