Effectively relieve the symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis with homeopathic treatments from Soin-et-Nature, combining naturalness, tolerance and therapeutic customization. Adapted to each allergic profile, these gentle, side-effect-free remedies offer real respiratory comfort during periods of intense pollination or prolonged allergenic exposure.

Homeopathy for allergic rhinitis:

Rhinitis is a benign, acute or chronic inflammation of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavities. As such, it has many causes and can take many forms. The most common is due to coryza or the common cold. It can be chronic, characterized by a thickening (hypertrophy) of the nasal mucosa, sometimes leading to severe obstruction of the nasal cavities.

In spring and summer, many cases of rhinitis are caused by pollen allergies, but other allergens such as dust mites, animal dander, mold and dust should not be overlooked.

How to relieve allergic rhinitis with homeopathy?

Also known as allergic, anaphylactic or perennial rhinitis, this is the nasal form of allergy, characterized by frequent sneezing, runny nose and nasal congestion. It is often pollen rhinitis, i.e. triggered by allergenic pollens (pollinosis). Treatment is fairly standard, essentially based on antihistamines or cortisone. Pollen desensitization programs are also available, notably for grass pollens. At the same time, homeopathy offers customized natural solutions that gently relieve symptoms and strengthen the allergic terrain.

There are 2 types of allergic rhinitis:

Seasonal allergic rhinitis, also known as hay fever:

It's most often caused by plant allergens, which vary with the season.

Common plant allergens include the following:

  • Spring: Tree pollens (oak, elm, maple, alder, birch, juniper, olive)
  • Summer: Grass pollens (cynodon, timothy, couch grass, cocksfoot, Johnson) and summer herbaceous pollens (Russian thistle, English plantain).
  • Autumn: other grass pollens (ragweed)

Causes also differ from region to region, and allergic rhinitis is sometimes due to airborne mycotic spores.

Persistent rhinitis :

This is caused by year-round exposure to allergens inhaled in the home (dust mites, cockroaches, fragments of animal hair or feathers), or by strong reactivity to plant pollens over several seasons.

Which allergens trigger allergic rhinitis treated with homeopathy?

Herbaceous plants:

The Asteraceae or Compositae group some 25,000 species, including ragweed and mugwort. Accidentally introduced to France 50 years ago (by American paratroopers), ragweed is responsible for severe pollenosis and asthma in people who are often sensitized to foods such as celery. Ragweed is unique in that its explosive pollination is concentrated in the second half of August and early September. Sagebrush pollinates from mid-July to mid-October. Pollens are highly allergenic, causing rhinoconjunctivitis and asthma.

The Urticaceae family comprises some 700 species, mostly tropical. Parietaria are found mainly in Europe. Parietaria is responsible for persistent rhino-conjunctivitis and severe asthma, its pollination, as abundant as that of the Grasses, is spread over a long period (April to mid-October).

Trees:

Trees are a major source of highly allergenic pollen. Their pollination takes place over a long period, starting between December and February, depending on the geographical area, with cypress and cedar in southern France, and ending in late June or early July with chestnut. Cypress pollen allergy is a winter pollinosis responsible for intermittent rhinoconjunctivitis and, more rarely, asthma.

  • The Cupressaceae family includes cypress, juniper and cedar. Birch pollen is of great clinical importance, being emitted as early as March-April in northern and eastern France.
  • The Betulaceae include birch, alder, hornbeam and hazel. We also find pollens from plane trees and Fagaceae; beech, chestnut and oak.
  • Anemophilous pollens, such as those from olive trees, can be collected at a distance from their place of emission, in places unusual for these trees, while others, such as those from mimosa, only play a local role.
  • The Oleaceae, in addition to olive trees, include ash, privet and lilac.
  • The Pinaceae, whose allergenic role is very limited, include firs, pines, spruces, larches and cedars.

What natural remedies can be combined with homeopathy for allergic rhinitis?

  • Eliminate objects that accumulate dust, such as knick-knacks, magazines, books and stuffed animals.
  • Use synthetic-fiber pillows and waterproof mattress protectors
  • Wash bed sheets, pillowcases and blankets frequently in hot water
  • Clean the house frequently (dust, vacuum and damp mop)
  • Remove upholstered furniture and carpets or vacuum frequently
  • Replace curtains with blinds
  • Use dehumidifiers in basements and other poorly ventilated, damp rooms
  • Prefer vacuum cleaners with high-efficiency particle filters
  • Limit pets' access to certain rooms or keep them outside
  • Wear sunglasses when outdoors or gardening
  • Brush or wash hair before going to bed (allergens can remain in the hair and be deposited on the pillow).
  • Close windows on windy days or when there are high concentrations of allergens in the air.
  • Avoid outdoor sports during periods of heavy pollination
  • Don't dry laundry outdoors.
  • Avoid country walks on days of heavy pollination
  • Wash your nose daily

Additional non-allergenic triggers (cigarette smoke, strong odors, irritating fumes, air pollution, cold temperatures, high humidity) should also be avoided or controlled whenever possible.

What homeopathic medicines should I take for seasonal allergies?

Preventive treatment to be started 1 month before the presumed date of allergy and continued after the onset of symptoms:

Dosage: 5 granules of each in the evening at bedtime.

In association with :

Homeopathy is a form of alternative medicine that uses plant- and mineral-based remedies to treat everyday illnesses and ailments. For over 200 years, this practice has proved itself worldwide as an effective method of preventing and treating many illnesses, including allergic rhinitis.

Allergic rhinitis, also known as hay fever, is caused by an allergic reaction to substances such as dust, pollen or dust mites. They manifest as frequent sneezing, nasal congestion, red, swollen eyes and a runny nose. Although antihistamines are often used to relieve symptoms, they can cause side effects such as drowsiness and confusion.

Homeopathy, on the other hand, is a safe and natural option for relieving the symptoms of allergic rhinitis. Homeopathic remedies are selected according to each patient's individual symptoms, which means they are case-specific. What's more, they are generally free of side effects and can be used safely in both children and adults.

One of the most commonly used homeopathic remedies for allergic rhinitis is Allium cepa, which is obtained from the onion. This remedy is particularly effective in relieving frequent sneezing and nasal congestion. Sabadilla remedy is also often used to treat allergic rhinitis, particularly in people who experience violent sneezing and feel better when outdoors.

As well as relieving the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, homeopathy can also be used to prevent the condition. For example, the remedy Natrum muriaticum is often used to boost the immune system and help prevent allergic reactions. Similarly, the remedy Arsenicum album can be used to boost the body's defenses and help prevent allergic rhinitis.

It is important to note that homeopathy should not be used as a substitute for appropriate medical treatment. If you suffer from allergic rhinitis or any other health condition, it is advisable to consult a doctor or qualified health professional.
