Evening primrose in Pharmacy

The onager is a plant originally from North America. It gives very beautiful flowers golden yellow, with very pleasant scent. The Amerindian tribes already used the evening primrose for its virtues on the skin. Today, one uses more particularly its precious oil which helps to maintain a healthy skin.

Evening primrose oil is a regulator of the hormonal system. Extracted from its seeds by cold pressing , Evening Primrose oil is particularly indicated in menstrual disorders and menopause. Rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids: 10-12% gamma-linolenic acid and 70% linoleic acid as well as vitamins A, D, E and K, evening primrose oil is also recommended in cardiovascular disorders and cholesterol .
