Our advice from pharmacy experts
A healthy body makes the GLA it needs from linoleic acid from polyunsaturated vegetable oils: sunflower, safflower, corn, soy, etc. However, in certain situations, the body would have trouble producing GLA: diabetes, eczema, PMS, hypercholesterolemia, excess alcohol, etc. This can also occur in the event of deficiency in certain vitamins or minerals, in particular in zinc. Hence the interest of evening primrose oil which contains GLA ready to be used. Note that the causal link between a reduced rate of GLA and the development of these states has not been established.
More information on PMS or PMS
Premenstrual syndrome, or PMS, is a disorder that many women are familiar with. Also called ovarian cycle syndrome or premenstrual tension, this syndrome is defined by a set of symptoms (e.g., a changing mood, bloating, breast hypersensitivity) that appear a few days before the start of menstruation.
To reduce pain during your cycle, we suggest you make a mixture based on essential oils with anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and calming properties:
Massage the lower abdomen using 6 drops of the mixture, making movements in circles, repeat 4 times a day and until improvement.
Warning! This mixture is photosenbilising!
