Nurofen is an over-the-counter medication in the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) family. It fights pain and lowers fever. Nurofen is an effective painkiller for the relief of most mild to moderate pain. However, this medicine contains ibuprofen and therefore acts on pain in high doses.
