Spedifen contains the active ingredient ibuprofen in the form of arginate salt. This ingredient relieves pain, has an anti-inflammatory effect, and reduces fever. The effect begins in about 30 minutes. Spedifen is indicated for the treatment of various acute painful and inflammatory conditions. Spedifen must be used as prescribed by a doctor.

This medication contains a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID): ibuprofen. SUITABLE FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN WEIGHING MORE THAN 30 kg (ages 11–12).
The usual dosage is 1 400-mg tablet per dose, to be repeated as needed, not to exceed 3 400-mg tablets per day (i.e., 1,200 mg per day).
The 400-mg tablet is reserved for more severe pain or fever, or for pain or fever not relieved by a 200-mg ibuprofen tablet.
Taking the medication at regular intervals helps prevent spikes in fever or pain. Doses should be spaced at least 6 hours apart.
Since older adults are at increased risk of side effects, use the lowest possible dose for the shortest time necessary to relieve symptoms.
Do not exceed the recommended doses or the duration of treatment (3 days for fever, 5 days for pain).
The maximum dosage is 3 tablets per day (1,200 mg).
FOR ADULTS ONLY
1 400-mg tablet as soon as possible after the onset of the attack.
If a patient does not experience relief after the first dose, a second dose should not be taken during the same attack. However, the attack may be treated with another medication that is neither a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug nor aspirin.
If the pain returns, a second dose may be taken, provided there is an 8-hour interval between doses.

Swallow the tablet whole, without chewing, with a full glass of water.
