What is Paxeladine dry cough syrup used for?

Paxeladine is a syrup designed to soothe dry, irritative coughs, ideal for adults and children from 30 months of age and weighing over 15 kg. This non-opioid medication stands out for its targeted action, which effectively reduces unpleasant cough symptoms without causing drowsiness. Here's why Paxeladine should be your first choice when dry cough symptoms appear.

Firstly, Paxeladine's composition is centered aroundoxeladine, an antitussive agent that acts directly on the cough nerve center in the brain, providing fast, long-lasting relief. The effectiveness of oxeladine makes this syrup a valuable ally during periods of irritative cough, particularly when it disrupts sleep or daily activities.

What's more, the easy-to-use dosing cup means that each member of the family can take a precise dose, according to their weight. This not inconsiderable detail ensures not only the efficacy but also the safety of the treatment, avoiding the risk of overdosing.

If you're looking for a safe, reliable treatment for dry, irritative coughs, Paxeladine is an exemplary solution. Its rapid efficacy, ease of use and well-tolerated composition make it a must-have for the whole family. Don't wait for the cough to get the better of you; opt for Paxeladine and quickly regain your peace of mind and well-being.

Coughing is a natural bodily mechanism used to cleanse the airways of inhaled impurities. It's usually due to irritation of the entire respiratory tract, including the trachea and bronchi. In the case of bronchitis, the cough is generally "dry" at first, then becomes oily within a few days. But during a winter respiratory infection, the cough can be "mixed": sometimes dry, sometimes oily, depending on the moment. After such a viral episode, the cough lasts for 3 to 8 weeks, even though the illness has been cured, because the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract has been weakened: this is called "post-infectious" and "sub-acute".

How do I use Paxeladine Dry and Irritative Cough Syrup?

Using Paxeladine is child's play thanks to its precise dosing cup, but it's essential to follow the recommendations to ensure optimal effectiveness without health risk. Here's how you can maximize the effectiveness of Paxeladine while taking the necessary precautions.

Directions for use: For adults, the recommended dosage is 5 ml per dose, repeated up to 5 times a day if necessary. For children, the dose varies according to weight, from 2.5 ml to 5 ml per dose. To avoid overdosing, it is vital to respect a minimum interval of 4 hours between each administration.

Give your opinion on the advice for use and dosage of Paxeladine with our partner Verified opinions after your purchase.

Precautions for use : Paxeladine should not be used in cases of wet cough, as it is not designed to help expectorate phlegm. If you notice a transition from a dry cough to a productive cough with sputum, it is imperative to consult a doctor. Furthermore, given the lack of information on its effect during pregnancy and breast-feeding, it is recommended to avoid using it in these conditions, or to consult a health professional.

Finally, in the case of chronic diseases affecting the lungs, it is essential to seek medical advice before using this syrup. This ensures not only safety, but also the effectiveness of the treatment in relation to your specific state of health.

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity, allergy or intolerance to one or more components.
Keep out of reach of children. The expiration date applies to the unopened product in its original packaging.
Store in original packaging at room temperature in a dry place.

Composition of Paxeladine Dry and Irritative Cough Syrup

Paxeladine Syrup is formulated to provide effective relief from dry coughs, thanks to carefully selected ingredients:

  • Oxeladine citrate: 0.2 g per 100 ml syrup. Each 5 ml dose contains 10 mg of oxeladine citrate, making it the syrup's main active ingredient.
  • Cocoa flavor: gives the syrup a pleasant taste, making it easier to accept, especially for children.
  • Sucrose: provides a natural sweet texture that masks the bitterness of the active ingredients.
  • Potassium sorbate: acts as a preservative to maintain syrup quality over time.
  • Purified water: used as a solvent to dissolve components and obtain a homogeneous preparation.

The composition of Paxeladine has been rigorously chosen to ensure maximum efficacy while offering a safety and taste profile acceptable to all users.
