What is Frontline 250mL flea and tick spray used for?

Frontline spray for instant action against fleas and ticks. Applied as a spray, Frontline works in less than 4 hours. It's the perfect solution for massive infestations, for treating very young animals (from 2 days old) or for an economical solution for treating several animals of different weights.

Fleas are the main ectoparasites encountered. Their presence can manifest itself in mild to intense itching, allergic dermatitis (hypersensitivity reaction to flea saliva), infestations of Dipylidium-type intestinal worms, etc.

Ticks are well-known ectoparasites in certain regions, notably hunting areas and woodlands. The main tick species are responsible for transmitting piroplasmosis, borreliosis (Lyme disease) andehrlichiosis. What's more, Lyme disease is a zoonosis, meaning that humans can also contract the condition.

How to use this spray

Number of sprays to be applied for Frontline spray in 250 ml bottle: 2 to 4 sprays per kg.

Example: For a 40 kg long-haired dog, 160 sprays from the 250 ml bottle.

In the absence of tolerance data, the minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.

How to administer frontline spray

Spray all over the body, keeping the bottle at a distance of around 10-20 cm.

The usual recommended dose is 3-6 ml per kilo.
Apply to the back of the hair, taking care to cover the whole animal, to evenly moisten the coat.
Work the product into the skin.
Leave to dry without wiping.

Precautions for use

• Do not use Frontline Spray on sick (systemic diseases, fever, etc.) or convalescent animals.
• Do not use Frontline Spray on rabbits, as sometimes fatal side effects may occur.
• If Frontline Spray is licked, a brief period of hypersalivation may occur, due to the nature of the excipient.
• It is important to ensure that animals do not lick each other.
• Animals should not be allowed to swim in waterways for 2 days following application of Frontline Spray.
• Do not wash animals with shampoo for 2 days before and after application.
• Attached ticks may occasionally be observed. For this reason, transmission of infectious diseases cannot be completely ruled out.
• Avoid contact of Frontline Spray with mouth or eyes. Avoid contact with fingers. It is advisable to wear gloves. In case of contact, wash hands with soap and water.
• In case of accidental eye exposure, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Wash hands after use.
• Do not handle treated animals and do not allow children to play with treated animals until the coat is dry. It is therefore recommended that animals are not treated during the day, but rather in the early evening, and that recently treated animals are not allowed to sleep with their owners, especially children.
