What is Frontline Combo for Dogs (10–20 kg) used for?
Note: The new Frontline Combo flea and tick treatment cannot be used on cats. This is because one of the active ingredients in Frontline Combo spot-on treatments is contraindicated for cats. This spot-on treatment for dogs weighing between 10 and 20 kg is recommended for fleas alone (effective for 2 months) or for mixed infestations involving fleas, ticks, and/or cheeseworms (effective for 1 month).
Treatment of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides spp.). The insecticidal efficacy against newinfestations by adultfleas lasts approximately 2 months.
Acaricidal activity against tick infestations for 1 month (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus).
Treatment of chewing lice infestations (Trichodectes canis).
The product may be used as part of treatment for flea bite allergy dermatitis (FBAD), if diagnosed by a veterinarian.
It ensures both the elimination and prevention of reinfestation by fleas and ticks on the affected animal. This product provides comprehensive extermination of parasites, including those that have developed resistance to it.
For dogs, use against infestations by fleas alone or mixed infestations by fleas and ticks and/or chewing lice:
- Elimination of fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.). The insecticidal efficacy against new infestations by adult fleas persists for 8 weeks.
- Prevention of flea reproduction by inhibiting the development of eggs (ovicidal activity) and larvae and pupae (larvicidal activity) from eggs laid by adult fleas for 8 weeks after application.
- Control of ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor variabilis, Rhipicephalus sanguineus). The product has acaricidal efficacy against ticks that lasts up to 4 weeks.
