What is Biocodex Colpofix Gel Vaginal Spray used for?

This medical device is a useful treatment for maintaining the physiological conditions of the cervicovaginal transformation zone in the event of alterations caused by HPV (Human Papillomavirus).

Colpofix vaginal gel is sprayed in fine droplets to easily reach and evenly coat the cervicovaginal mucosa. Its mucoadhesive properties prevent discharge. Thanks to its spray delivery system and adhesive properties, Colpofix forms a film that protects the cervicovaginal mucosa from the deleterious action of external microbial agents. Thanks to its moisturizing properties, Colpofix helps maintain the physiological conditions of a region of the cervix called the cervicovaginal transformation zone, exposed to alterations caused by HPV.

It contains 2 complementary active ingredients:

  • Polycarbophil forms a muco-adhesive film that protects against external aggression. It has an acidifying effect by releasing protons on contact with cervical mucus. Colpofix thus helps maintain a pH favorable to vaginal microbiota.
  • Carboxymethyl B-glucan is highly viscous.

This vaginal gel is formulated to specifically target the cervicovaginal transformation zone, offering precise treatment where it's needed most. Its targeted application ensures rapid and effective absorption of the product, providing optimal relief of symptoms associated with HPV-induced alterations.

Thanks to its spray format, Colpofix offers a convenient, easy-to-use administration method. The gel is sprayed in fine droplets for uniform distribution on the cervicovaginal mucosa, ensuring complete coverage of the affected area. This method of administration guarantees precise, effortless application, providing fast, effective relief.

The mucoadhesive properties of Colpofix gel ensure optimal adhesion to the cervicovaginal mucosa, preventing unwanted discharge. By forming a protective film, the gel provides continuous protection against external microbial agents, reducing the risk of infection and complications.

In addition to its mucoadhesive properties, Colpofix vaginal gel also offers moisturizing and protective benefits . By maintaining an optimal level of hydration, it helps restore and preserve the integrity of the cervicovaginal mucosa, protecting against irritation and damage caused by HPV. This moisturizing action also helps maintain the physiological conditions necessary for optimal gynecological health.

We also recommend Florgynal Tampon Probiotique Restauration flore vaginale, the only tampon that works during your period by releasing probiotics to restore your vaginal flora.

Expert advice

Using an appropriate vaginal gel to prevent and treat HPV-related cervical lesions can reinforce local protection and support mucosal regeneration. These gels act by forming a protective barrier that limits the progression of the virus and promotes cellular repair, thanks in particular to active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid or beta-glucans.

At the same time, boosting your natural immunity is essential: a diet rich in antioxidants (zinc, vitamin C, selenium) and the use of plants such as Echinacea or Reishi can be beneficial. We also recommend adopting gentle intimate hygiene, reducing stress and avoiding tobacco, which weakens local defenses.

In naturopathy, the synergy between local treatments and overall hygiene is considered to be the best preventive strategy. Medical follow-up remains essential to adapt treatment to each individual case.

HPV Vaccine: Be Aware! HPV Vaccine: Be Aware!

For several weeks now, an appeal from Professor Joyeux, oncologist and surgeon at the Montpellier Cancer Institute, has been circulating on the Internet. The latter is alerting us to the recent report by the High Council for Public Health, which recommends mass vaccination in schools against papillomavirus (HPV), and lowering the vaccination age to 9 for girls and boys (11…

Busserole, bear grape with gargantuan properties Busserole, bear grape with gargantuan properties

Bearberry is one of the great omissions from medical literature throughout antiquity. The Middle Ages fared little better, considering that the earliest documents relating to it date back only to the 12th century: some English books mention its use, and it is even mentioned in a 13th-century Welsh herbarium entitled Les médecins de Myddfai (The Doctors of Myddfai). In France,…

Cranberry, its therapeutic use in its urinary indications Cranberry, its therapeutic use in its urinary indications

First used by the Amerindians of North America for food and therapeutic purposes (to disinfect the urinary tract), the cranberry was then discovered by Europeans, who first used it on board ships that crossed the Atlantic to fight against scurvy , due to its high vitamin C content .
