What is Papilocare Vaginal Gel used for?

When the human papillomavirus (HPV) infects the female genital tract, it can cause precancerous lesions of the cervix, particularly LSIL (low-grade intraepithelial lesions). In this context, Papilocare Vaginal Gel is the first non-hormonal, natural treatment specifically designed to prevent and repair lesions caused by this virus.

Thanks to its protective barrier action, this gel forms a mucoadhesive film on the cervicovaginal mucosa, preventing HPV from integrating into deep epithelial cells.

But Papilocare doesn’t stop there: it features a patented formulation based on natural ingredients, encapsulated using niosomal and phytosomal technologies, ensuring effective penetration down to the basal layers of the epithelium. The result? Targeted, deep-acting care that promotes the repair of damaged tissue and helps strengthen the mucosal barrier. This innovative synergy helps improve overall vaginal health while reducing the recurrence of lesions.

Another strength of this gel lies in its ability to stimulate re-epithelialization. Thanks to active ingredients such as Coriolus versicolor and Centella asiatica, it helps the mucosa regenerate more quickly, promoting the healing of lesions and microlesions often associated with infection or irritation. This cellular repair thus helps maintain tissue integrity and strengthen local defenses.

Another key benefit of Papilocare is its ability to rehydrate and soothe vaginal tissues. Hyaluronic acid, particularly in the form of niosomes, acts deeply to restore the elasticity and comfort of the mucous membrane. This moisturizing action is especially beneficial for women experiencing vaginal dryness, particularly during the postpartum period, postmenopause, or following cancer treatment.

But good vaginal health also depends on a balanced intimate microbiome. Papilocare contains BioEcolia®, a natural prebiotic that promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria, which are essential for a protective microflora. This action helps limit imbalances (bacterial vaginosis, candidiasis) and prevent recurrent inflammation. By strengthening the microbiome, Papilocare indirectly supports the local immune system, which acts as a true sentinel against intruders.

Finally, this gel is intended for a broad population: HPV-positive women, whether they have LSIL, ASC-US, or are simply identified as high-risk (HPV types 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, etc.). Thanks to its proven good tolerability in clinical practice and its non-irritating profile, it can be incorporated into an intimate care routine to support women at every stage of their journey.

We also offer Geliofil Protect Vaginal Gel (7 doses, 5 ml), a complementary product that helps protect and balance the intimate flora.

How should this treatment be used to rebalance the vaginal microbiome?

  • β-glucan niosomes: their antioxidant properties help maintain the natural structure and function of the skin and mucous membranes.
  • Centella asiatica phytosomes, which help repair damaged mucous membranes.
  • Coriolus versicolor extract, to promote re-epithelialization and repair of cervical and vaginal lesions and microlesions.
  • Neem extract, with emollient properties that support the natural healing process.
