What is physical exhaustion, and how does it differ from simple fatigue?

Physical exhaustion is a state of profound physical weariness that does not respond to ordinary rest—unlike simple fatigue, which generally resolves after a good night’s sleep or a weekend of rest, exhaustion persists despite rest and is accompanied by a range of associated symptoms. What are the physiological causes of physical exhaustion?

Physical exhaustion almost always results from a prolonged imbalance between energy expenditure (physical and mental exertion, stress) and the body’s ability to recover. Several physiological mechanisms underlie this condition:

What natural supplements support physical recovery?
