What is Carbosylane with activated charbong and Simeticone used for?

Carbosylane is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of dyspeptic conditions (difficult digestion) and meteorism (intestinal bloating).

It contains activated charcoal and simeticone.

Carbosylane comes in a dose of two twin capsules (gastro-soluble blue capsule and gastro-resistant red capsule), to be taken simultaneously. In this way, Carbosylane treats the stomach and intestine independently.

What is dyspepsia?
Dyspepsia corresponds to uncomfortable sensations felt in the upper part of the digestive tract (stomach, esophagus), even though the latter presents no particular anomalies and is found to be healthy during various examinations. The patient describes variable symptoms:

  • discomfort,
  • bloating,
  • pain,
  • nausea,
  • eructation.

There is no lesion to explain these disorders (they are functional disorders).

How to take this medicine for bloating?

By mouth.

Dosage is 3 doses (blue capsule + red capsule) per day, 3 times a day, to be taken before or after the main meals.

Usual duration of treatment is 10 days.

Carbosylane should be taken at least 2 hours before any other medication.

Precautions for use

  • For adults and children over 6 years of age only.
  • Hypersensitivity to one of the constituents.
  • Children under 6 (risk of capsule inhalation).
