LifeScan's One Touch Verio Blood Glucose Test Strips collect blood from the fingertip, palm or forearm.

OneTouch Verio test strips are for use with the OneTouch Verio IQ, OneTouch Verio Pro and OneTouch Verio Blood Glucose Monitoring System to measure the amount of glucose in the blood. Please note that the meter is based on French standards and is therefore in mg/dl.

Instructions for use and advice

Insert the OneTouch ^Verio® test strip into the slot provided, with the gold side of the strip and the two silver lugs facing you. (insert the two lugs into the meter slot).

• When the Apply blood screen appears, you can apply your blood sample to both sides of the test strip (towards the groove opening).
• Apply the sample to the groove opening.
• Be sure to apply your sample as soon as a drop of blood comes out.
• Holding the meter at a slight angle, angle the groove towards the drop of blood.
• On contact with your sample (drop of blood), the test strip transports the blood into the groove. The groove must be completely filled.
• The groove turns red and the counter counts down from 5 to 1.
• The top of the test strip or its upper edge must not be covered with blood.

Storage and handling

• Store test strips in a cool, dry place, at a temperature below 30°C.
• Protect from direct sunlight and all sources of heat.
• Do not store in the refrigerator.
• Always keep your test strips in the original bottle; do not transfer them to another bottle or container.
• After removing the OneTouch® Verio® test strip from the bottle, immediately replace the cap and close the bottle tightly.
• Use each strip immediately after removing it from the bottle.
• Do not use test strips from a bottle that has been damaged or exposed to the open air.

Precaution for use

• Write the date of disposal on the bottle when you first open it.
• Six months after first opening, discard any remaining OneTouch Verio test strips.
• Avoid soiling the upper end of the strip with dust or food.
• You can touch the entire surface of the strip with clean, dry hands.
• Do not use test strips after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
• Test strips should only be used once.
• Check that the temperature of the meter and test strip are close together before testing.
