What is MagnéVie B6 Magnesium 60 Tablets by Sanofi used for?
The over-the-counter medication MagnéVie B6 from SANOFI is available in a box of 60 tablets and in a 2-box pack at a low price. It primarily contains:
- vitamin B6, or pyridoxine, which is a non-caloric organic substance essential for our metabolism and not produced by our bodies. It is water-soluble and, as a result, is rapidly excreted in the urine. Daily intake of these water-soluble vitamins is therefore necessary to maintain the levels required for the body to function properly. It exists in three different chemical forms with the same biological functions: pyridoxine, pyridoxamine, and pyridoxal.
- Magnesium plays an important role in protein synthesis, the transmission of nerve impulses, and muscle contraction. It also has a regulatory effect on intestinal transit. But since it acts as a catalyst in a large number of enzymatic reactions, it has a wide-ranging effect. Magnesium is present in all cells. Cells in the nervous system, muscles, and heart are particularly sensitive to fluctuations in magnesium levels.
This medication contains magnesium.
A combination of several of the following symptoms may indicate a magnesium deficiency:
- nervousness, irritability, mild anxiety, temporary fatigue, minor sleep disturbances,
- symptoms of anxiety, such as digestive spasms or palpitations (in a healthy heart),
- muscle cramps, tingling sensations.
Magnesium supplementation may improve these symptoms.
If there is no improvement in these symptoms after one month of treatment, it is not advisable to continue.
Vitamin B6 supports the proper functioning and balance of the nervous system.

Magnesiumis a mineral essential forthe proper functioning of the human body. It is involved in more than 300 metabolic reactions in the body. It works in close association with sodium, potassium, and calcium, with which it must remain in balance within the body. About half of the body’s magnesium is found in the bones and teeth, while the rest is located in the muscles, liver, and other soft tissues. Magnesium is excreted by the kidneys.
Vitamin B6plays an important role in protein metabolism. It also contributes to numerous processes, such as the functioning of the nervous and immune systems, as well as hormonal regulation. Thus, vitamin B6 plays an important role in maintaining mental well-being. It also contributes to the proper absorption of vitamin B12, the production of vitamin B3, the assimilation of calcium, and the production of energy from muscle glycogen. It is recognized for contributing to the normal functioning of the nervous and immune systems, to normal mental function, to the normal synthesis of cysteine, and for alleviating fatigue and asthenia.
