What is Vetoform Spot-On Insect Repellent for Cats?

Vetoform Spot-On insect repellent for cats is a gentle yet powerful solution designed to offer your four-legged friend optimum protection against external parasites. Made from plant extracts such as Margosa, lavandin oil and Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium (pyrethrum flowers), Vetoform pipettes are part of a natural approach to pest control, respectful of your pet's health and the environment.

Each box contains 3 or 6 pipettes of 1 ml, providing up to 24 weeks (6 months) of protection against fleas, ticks and mosquitoes. Easy to apply directly to the skin between the shoulder blades, this spot-on treatment offers continuous protection for around four weeks per pipette, making it as practical as it is effective over time.

The main active ingredient, Margosa (neem seed extract), is renowned for its natural insect repellent properties. Native to India and used for centuries in traditional medicine, it acts effectively on the life cycle of parasites, limiting their reproduction and naturally repelling them. This biodegradable, non-toxic substance represents an ideal alternative to chemical treatments, particularly for sensitive cats or for households looking for a gentler solution that respects the animal's equilibrium.

Margosa's repellent action becomes fully effective within 48 hours of application. For optimum results, we recommend using these pipettes as part of an overall pest control program, including treatment of all household pets. In the event of heavy infestation, the complementary use of Vetoform lotion and the home diffuser is recommended toeliminate parasites in the domesticenvironment.

Thanks to its formula enriched with active ingredients of plant origin, Vetoform spot-on anti-parasite care also helps maintain healthy skin and a radiant coat. It helps reduce skin irritation often caused by parasite bites, while respecting your cat's natural skin barrier.

Protecting your cat with Vetoform pipettes means choosing an effective, natural solution , suitable for regular use and without risk to your cat's health. It also means adopting an eco-responsible approach by choosing biodegradable, non-polluting ingredients that protect your environment while ensuring your pet's well-being.

By choosing Vetoform Insectifuge Antiparasitaire, you're opting for a reliable, easy-to-use preventive care product, ideal for preventing parasite infestations, limiting the risk of transmitted diseases and preserving your feline companion's daily comfort.

Vétoquinol also offers refills for Feliway cat diffusers at the best prices in our online pharmacy.

How to use these Repellent Pipettes for Cats' External Parasites?

The pipettes can be used on cats over 2 months of age. They provide effective protection against fleas, ticks and mosquitoes for one month.

Directions for use: For one cat, use one 1ml pipette, repeated every 4 weeks. Open a pipette by breaking off the tip and apply the contents to your cat's neck, behind the ears and in two or three spots on the back.
We also recommend worming your cat as soon as possible, and at regular intervals, to protect against internal parasites.

Precautions for use :

  • For external use.
  • Do not swallow.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Do not use on sick or convalescent animals or those with extensive skin lesions, or on puppies under 2 months of age.
  • After use, examine the application site regularly, as a sensitive animal may sometimes present localized irritation, in which case the area should be washed with a mild shampoo.
  • Wash hands after use.
  • Store only in original, well-closed container, away from food and drink, including animal feed.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and muzzle: in case of contact with eyes, wash immediately with plenty of water.
  • If irritation persists, consult a veterinarian.
  • Store at temperatures not exceeding 25°C.

Expert advice

For effective parasite prevention in cats, apply a suitable treatment regularly , even when parasites are visibly absent. Choose natural solutions or those recommended by a veterinarian, especially for sensitive skin. Remember to treat all pets in the household and regularly disinfect sleeping areas (sofas, baskets, carpets). In high-risk periods (spring, summer), increase the frequency of applications. Watch for signs of infestation (scratching, rashes, presence of parasites) and act quickly. Rigorous prevention avoids massive infestations and protects your companion's health and well-being over the long term.
