When should Ergymyo Flash be used to support muscle function?

Ergymyo Flash is a dietary supplement in vegetarian capsules that combines two minerals, one herb, and five B vitamins. The three daily capsules provide 300 mg of potassium in the form of bicarbonate, 210 mg of magnesium from magnesium oxide and magnesium citrate, 80 mg of lemon balm extract, as well as vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, and B6. It is among the magnesium dietary supplements, with the unique feature of combining it with potassium.

Muscles contract and then relax through constant mineral exchange across their cell membranes. Magnesium and potassium contribute to normal muscle function. Ergymyo Flash is intended for people who place high demands on their muscles: regular athletes, those resuming physical activity, people with jobs that require standing, or those with physically demanding days.

The body’s need for magnesium extends beyond the muscles. Magnesium, along with vitamins B2, B3, and B5, helps reduce fatigue. Magnesium, potassium, and vitamins B1, B2, and B3 support the normal functioning of the nervous system, which controls every muscle contraction.

Lemon balm, an aromatic plant in the Lamiaceae family, promotes relaxation. Vitamin B6 rounds out the formula in a low dose. Ergymyo Flash is naturally suited for periods of intense physical exertion: preparing for a race, the start of the sports season, weeks of hiking, or a move.

Ergymyo Flash provides minerals and B vitamins, but not vitamin D, whose levels depend primarily on the skin’s exposure to sunlight and often decline in winter, particularly among those who train indoors. For this reason, we recommend Pileje’s Biane Vitamin D3 combined with omega-3: one capsule per day provides a nutrient not included in the Ergymyo Flash formula, without doubling any of its other nutrient intakes.

How should you take these magnesium and potassium capsules?

Precautions

  • For ages 12 and up.
  • Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women (lemon balm).
  • Not recommended for the elderly or people with kidney disease (potassium). Do not take if you have kidney failure, high blood potassium levels (hyperkalemia), Addison’s disease, or uncontrolled diabetes.
  • Do not use without medical advice if you are being treated with a potassium-sparing diuretic (spironolactone, amiloride, triamterene, canrenone), an ACE inhibitor, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (sartan), cyclosporine, or tacrolimus: these medications increase blood potassium levels.
  • Magnesium reduces the absorption of certain medications taken at the same time: antibiotics in the quinolone or cycline families, osteoporosis medications (bisphosphonates), iron or calcium salts, and phosphates. Allow at least a 2-hour interval between doses; ask your pharmacist for the specific timing required for your treatment.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to lemon balm or any other plant in the Lamiaceae family (mint, lavender, rosemary, thyme, sage).
  • Consult a doctor before use if you have a thyroid condition or are undergoing thyroid treatment.
  • Lemon balm may impair alertness in some people: exercise caution when driving or operating machinery. Consult a healthcare professional before use if taking sedatives, anxiolytics, or sleep aids.
  • Magnesium oxide may soften stools or speed up bowel movements.
  • Do not combine with any other dietary supplement containing magnesium, potassium, or lemon balm. Take into account any B vitamins already provided by a multivitamin complex.
  • Frequent cramps—especially those that wake you at night, persist, or appear after starting a new treatment—as well as unusual muscle weakness, require medical attention.
  • Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
  • Not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet or a healthy lifestyle.
  • Keep out of reach of children, at a temperature below 25°C, and protect from moisture.

Our expert advice on Ergymyo Flash for muscle function

Before taking the first capsule, the most important factor isn’t magnesium—which everyone thinks they know about—but potassium. It’s potassium that rules out this supplement for some people who are looking for it: those whose potassium levels are already being monitored by a doctor. At the counter, we first ask about any current medications, even before discussing muscle health.

This supplement is meant for a specific period; it does not replace hydration during exercise, a gradual warm-up, or a measured return to training—all of which have a greater impact on muscle comfort than any capsule. We recommend evaluating the treatment over the course of one full pill dispenser, then checking in with us before starting a second one.

FAQ
