Choose the right dressing size for the nature and location of the wound. For lightly exuding wounds, allow for a 1 to 3 cm overhang. For moderate to profuse exudates, opt for an overhang of at least 5 cm.
Trim dressing if necessary. Remove the first protective sheet, apply the adhesive side to the wound, then remove the other sheet. Gently smooth the dressing without pulling.
