The Nuxe Les Trois Iconiques set, formerly known as Les 3 Prodigieux, includes three 10-ml bottles of Huile Prodigieuse: the original, Or, and Or Florale. All three share the same base: a multifunctional dry oil designed for use on the face, body, and hair. Seven plant-based oils form its core: macadamia, sweet almond, hazelnut, camellia, tsubaki, argan, and borage. Light emollients, including coconut caprylate/caprate—listed first in the ingredients—give the formula the signature feel of dry oils for the body and hair.

On the face and body, these oils moisturize and enhance the skin. The plant-based oils leave a fine lipid veil on the skin’s surface that limits water evaporation and restores suppleness to tight areas: shins, forearms, and décolletage. The original Huile Prodigieuse is the non-shimmering version of the trio. It nourishes, repairs, and enhances both the skin and the lengths and ends of dry hair. Its fragrance, with notes of orange blossom, magnolia, and vanilla, is what made the line famous.

The other two bottles add mineral pearlescent pigments—mica, titanium dioxide, and iron oxides—suspended in the oil. Our expert advice on the “Les Trois Iconiques” set

The three bottles aren’t equally suited for all uses. The original is for everyday use, including on the face and hair; the two pearlescent versions are best reserved for the body and special occasions, as their shimmer is clearly visible in daylight. On the face, it’s best to start with one drop and add more if needed: too much pearlescent oil will make your skin look greasy rather than radiant. Combination to oily skin often doesn’t tolerate these oils well when applied undiluted; one or two drops mixed with your moisturizer are sufficient.

This set is primarily designed to help you choose. Use each oil for several days, on the same area and at the same time of day, before switching to the full-size bottle: how long the scent lasts on the skin and the intensity of the shimmer are the two factors that most often make the difference.

Does the Huile Prodigieuse from the Les Trois Iconiques set stain my clothes?

It might. Even though it’s called “dry,” Huile Prodigieuse is still an oil-based product: fabric that comes into contact with it before it has been absorbed may develop a stain. Letting the oil absorb for a few minutes before getting dressed minimizes this risk. An existing stain should be treated like any oily stain, for example with Sommières clay before washing.

Can I apply makeup after using the Huile Prodigieuse from the Les Trois Iconiques set?

Yes. The texture dries quickly and absorbs into the skin: you can apply foundation afterward.

Can I use the Huile Prodigieuse from the Les Trois Iconiques set as a hair mask before shampooing?

Yes, for the original, non-shimmer version in the set. This is its most intensive hair treatment use: apply it to the entire head of hair once or twice a week, then leave it on for at least ten minutes before shampooing.
