What is Fyperix Combo 50/60 mg Spot-On for Cats and Ferrets used for?

Fyperix Combo 50/60 mg Spot-On for Cats and Ferrets is a parasiticide designed to meet the preventive and curative needs of cats and ferrets.

In cats,Fyperix Combo provides:

Treatment ofinfestations caused by fleas alone or mixed infestations involving fleas and ticks and/or chewing lice:

  • Eradication of fleas (Ctenocephalidesspp.). The insecticide is effective against new infestations by adult fleas and remains active for 4 weeks. Prevents the proliferation of fleas by inhibiting the development of eggs (ovicidal activity), larvae, and pupae (larvicidal activity) from eggs laid by adult fleas for a period of 6 weeks after application.
  • Eradication of ticks (Ixodes ricinus,Dermacentor variabilis,Rhipicephalus sanguineus). This antiparasitic provides acaricidal efficacy against ticks that lasts up to 2 weeks.
  • Eradication of chewing lice (Felicola subrostratus).

The medication can be used as part of a treatment program for flea bite allergy dermatitis (FBAD), if it has been previously diagnosed by your veterinarian.

Fyperix Combo provides the following benefits for ferrets:

It prevents flea reproduction by inhibiting the development of eggs (ovicidal activity) and of larvae and pupae (larvicidal activity) that hatch from eggs laid by adult fleas.
  • Tick control (Ixodes ricinus). This product provides acaricidal protection against ticks that lasts for 4 weeks.

How to Effectively Eliminate Fleas and Ticks?

For external use only, spot-on application.

One 0.5-ml pipette per cat, corresponding to the minimum recommended dose of 5 mg of fipronil per kg of body weight and 6 mg of (S)-methoprene per kg of body weight, for topical application to the skin.

In the absence of tolerance data, the minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.

One 0.5-mL pipette per ferret, corresponding to the minimum recommended dose of 50 mg of fipronil per kg of body weight and 60 mg of (S)-methoprene per ferret, for topical application to the skin.

The minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.
