Beaphar Voxical Dog Dewormer 2 Tablets is a dewormer for large dogs.
Voxical XL for dogs by Beaphar is a dewormer recommended for the treatment of mixed infections of nematodes (roundworms) and cestodes (tapeworms). This film-coated medicine tastes like meat. It is formulated for adult dogs over 17.5 kg .
Having febantel, praziquantel or pyrantel as active ingredients, this tablet eradicates nematodes such as ascarids, hookworms and whipworms. It also eliminates infestations with cestodes, especially tapeworms.
If the worms are resistant to anthelmintic or if there is a risk of re-infestation, consult a veterinarian for information on the appropriate type of treatment and the dosage to follow. Parasites can resist an anthelmintic in this category with frequent or repeated use. To reduce the risk of re-infestation by nematodes and cestodes, animal excretions should be collected and discarded within 24 hours of treatment.
It should be noted that a new tapeworm infestation may be possible if the dog has fleas , as they serve as intermediate hosts. It is therefore important to treat them.
Voxical XL should not be used in pregnant female dogs during the first and second third of pregnancy.
For hygiene reasons, the person who deposits the drug directly in the mouth of the animal or in its food should wash his hands after administration.
Voxical XL should only be administered orally. The dosage is 1⁄2 to 1 tablet depending on the weight of the animal. The recommended dose is 15 mg of Febantel, 5 mg of Pyrantel and 5 mg of Praziquantel per kg of body weight. This is equivalent to 1 tablet for a 35 kg dog. This means that you will need to give 1⁄2 tablet to a dog weighing around 17.5 kg. To make sure the dosage is correct, check the animal's weight before administration.
This medication should be taken all at once, put directly into the dog's mouth or mixed with his food. The animal does not need to be fasting before or after treatment.

What are the side effects and contraindications?
This tablet is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the other components of the formula. It should also not be used in a dog that weighs less than 17.5 kg.
Voxical XL for dogs is not recommended when using a drug containing compounds of the Piperazine family. The anthelmintic effects of pyrantel and piperazine may be antagonistic. This dewormer causes gastrointestinal disturbances in some dogs, including diarrhea or vomiting.
