After each use: completely empty the tank, dry it with a towel, suck the water remaining in the device and the hose from the cannula. This is to prevent water from being left in the system which would cause lime deposits and adversely affect the proper functioning of the device in the long term.
Bi-weekly cleaning is recommended to remove lime deposits as they can build up in your dental jet depending on the mineral content of your water. Add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar to a reservoir filled with lukewarm water. Point the handle and cannula at the sink. Switch on the unit, let the water flosser run until the tank is empty. Finally, for rinsing, empty the tank filled with pure lukewarm water in the same way.
