The meadowsweet contains among other flavonoids, known for their benefits on elimination . Their concentration is ideal in the fresh plant and promotes the draining activity of this plant. Meadowsweet SIPF bio benefits from important diuretic properties to help reduce localized swelling (arms, thighs, hips) due to excess water (premenstrual water retention for example). The use of meadowsweet has few side effects.

Another surprising property: in 1835, Dr. Carl Löwig demonstrated that spiric acid, which is extracted from meadowsweet, is chemically identical to salicylic acid, also known as aspirin. . Some consider it a plant and natural aspirin.

Hydroalcoholic extract of Spiraea ulmaria (flowering tops), water, thickener: gum. Alcohol content: 30%.

What are the side effects and contraindications ?

  • Oral route. For adults and adolescents. Keep out of the reach of children.
  • Do not consume meadowsweet in case of allergy to aspirin because it contains a salicylic aldehyde similar to aspirin (salicylic acid).
  • Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
  • Not suitable for people under 12 with weight less than 40 kg.
  • Not suitable for pregnant women according to the recommendations on total abstinence from alcohol consumption, as well as for former alcoholics.
