What is Naturactive Manuka Honey Cough Syrup used for?

This Naturactiv syrup treats both dry and wet coughs. It also relieves irritation of the throat mucosa. It can be used in children aged 1 and over. This syrup forms a protective, softening barrier that lines the pharynx, isolating the mucosa from external aggressors. It also promotes mucus hydration and natural mucus expulsion.

Naturactive Syrup contains:

  • organic all-flower honey and Manuka honey: Honey has strong antiseptic properties, making it highly effective in treating sore throats. A natural anti-inflammatory, it calms inflammation and burning of the throat. Manuka honey is reputed to support the immune system and prevent winter infections. In particular, it helps relieve respiratory infections such as angina, bronchitis, colds, sinusitis, etc.
  • Grindelia: contains a balsamic resin with a turpentine-like odour that gives the plant its antiasthmatic, antispasmodic and expectorant properties. As such, it is used to treat respiratory tract and ENT disorders such as coughs, flu, bronchial inflammation and infections with chronic mucus secretion.
  • Plantain: plantain has antibacterial and antitussive properties that help limit bronchopulmonary affections. It also contains mucilage with softening, emollient and expectorant properties to relieve throat irritations. Finally, plantain is also anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic.
  • Italian Helichrysum: has anti-cathartic and mucolytic properties. This means it limits the production of mucus in the respiratory tract and encourages its expulsion to clear the airways.
  • essential oils of Lemon, Orange and Myrtle.

We also offer natural defense capsules at the best price in our online pharmacy.

Expert advice

Natural health experts appreciate Manuka honey for its unique antibacterial and soothing properties. In syrup, it becomes a precious ally against sore throats, dry or productive coughs and respiratory tract irritations. Its methylglyoxal (MGO) content gives it a natural purifying action that supports the immune system. Practitioners recommend taking it slowly, to prolong its soothing effect on the throat. This syrup is particularly suitable during winter or in the event of persistent discomfort, and fits perfectly into a natural, effective wellness routine.

The clinical approach in herbal medicine in respiratory infections The clinical approach in herbal medicine in respiratory infections

In immune pathologies in adults, particularly respiratory infections; the clinical approach in herbal medicine retains all its interest, in particular the use of standardized extracts guaranteeing the contribution of totum , so as to provide as much hyposoluble fractions ( ex: polysaccharides of ginseng for immune stimulation, in particular to strengthen the action of vaccines in the elderly ) than liposoluble ( eg: alkylamides of echinacea in acquired immunity ), in order to restore the full…

The Scots pine, symbol of life, longevity and immortality The Scots pine, symbol of life, longevity and immortality

Scots pine, whose botanical name is Pinus sylvestris L., belongs to the Pinaceae family. Its essential oil is obtained from the needles. The origin of Scots Pine's Latin name is debated. Alexandre Etienne Guillaume "de" Théis, in 1810, maintained that it comes from the Celtic "pinus", meaning mountain or rock. However, Félix Gaffiot, in his 1934 French Latin Dictionary, thought…
