Demineralization
Healthy bones are strong and do not break easily. However, with age, appear the first signs of fragility, wear of the bone , resulting in increased risk of fractures or deformities. When bone resorption (RO) is superior to bone formation (FO), mineral leakage (calcium, phosphorus, potassium, etc.) is observed outside the body: this is bone demineralization . It leads to a fragility of the calcium layer and therefore to a more friable and less strong bone vis-à-vis the mechanical stresses it undergoes.
