It is thanks to humidity that the elements of clay are exchangeable. Its elements need water to move. Without humidity, they remain "frozen".
Clay is a living material: It rebalances, protects, regenerates every cell in our body.
Its application is simple.
Use of clay for plasters:
The clay paste is placed either directly on the epidermis, or using a cloth, a paper bag.
The duration of its application will in principle be 1 to 2 hours, or all night for some people, for practical reasons.
But in 1 to 2 hours, the clay brought its benefits. The longer durations bring only the possible benefits of a forced immobilization, of a joint for example.
Appropriate care:
For greater effectiveness, clay poultices can be applied and kept moist throughout the treatment. But without using plastic film, synthetic film, which prevents the clay from "breathing". The care must remain natural! And keep the original purity of the clayey earth. The passage of air is also important.
Moisten slightly by pouring a little water on the plaster
- For certain applications such as on light burns or wounds, it is advisable to put a gauze between the weakened epidermis and the clay. This gauze pad removes clay painlessly.
- In case of superficial cuts and punctures, you can dip your finger directly in the clay for a few minutes, then apply the clay with a small bandage. But not in a pot of healthy clay, of course, so as not to contaminate the pot!
