This medicine contains a local antiseptic to fight infection and a local anesthetic to relieve pain.
Humex rhume is a combination of three active ingredients: a nasal decongestant vasoconstrictor (pseudoephedrine), an analgesic (paracetamol) and an antihistamine (chlorphenamine).
It is indicated for adults and children over 6 for mild sore throats without fever, mouth ulcers and small mouth sores.

Humex comes in tablet and capsule form: tablets contain paracetamol, which has an antipyretic and analgesic action, and pseudoephedrine, a decongestant vasoconstrictor; capsules, to be taken in the evening, contain paracetamol and an antihistamine with a drying effect on nasal secretions.
It is used to relieve cold symptoms: blocked nose, runny nose, headache and/or fever.

Tablets and capsules should be swallowed with a glass of water, at least 4 hours apart. In cases of severe renal insufficiency, doses should be spaced at least 8 hours apart.
Treatment should not exceed 4 days.

The anaesthesia induced by this drug in the throat may favour false routes (coughing during a meal with the impression of "swallowing the wrong way") when swallowing food. It is therefore imperative
Prolonged use (more than 5 days) of this medicine is not recommended, as it may alter the natural microbial balance of the mouth and throat.
Respect the indicated dosage: if taken in large quantities or repeatedly, this medicine may affect the nervous system, with the possibility of convulsions, and the heart.
This speciality must not be brought into contact with the eyes, or introduced into the nose or ears.
In the event of fever, purulent sputum or difficulty swallowing food, or if the condition worsens or does not improve within 5 days, CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN.
In case of extensive lesions, extension of lesions, appearance of fever: CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.

Paracetamol is present alone or in combination with other substances in many medicines: make sure you do not take several medicines containing paracetamol at the same time, as taking them together carries the risk of overdosing, which can be toxic to the liver.
Avoid alcoholic beverages: increased risk of drowsiness.
Thismedicine contains an antihistamine which may induce drowsiness, sometimes intense in some people. This drowsiness may be increased by alcohol or other sedative drugs. Before driving or operating dangerous machinery, make sure you tolerate it well when taking it for the first time.
For athletes : this drug contains a substance considered to be a stimulant (phenylephrine, pseudoephedrine or synephrine) which is included in the 2004 monitoring program of the French Ministry of Youth and Sports. It may be tested in the urine of athletes to detect possible misuse.
This drug has no anti-infectious effect. If symptoms persist for more than a few days, consult your doctor.
