Humex Cold is a medication that combines three active ingredients: a nasal decongestant vasoconstrictor (pseudoephedrine), a pain reliever (acetaminophen), and an antihistamine (chlorphenamine).
It is indicated for adults and children over 6 years of age for mild sore throats without fever, canker sores, and minor mouth sores.

Humex is a medication available in tablet and capsule form: the tablets contain acetaminophen, which has antipyretic and analgesic effects, and pseudoephedrine, a vasoconstrictor that relieves congestion; the capsules, intended to be taken in the evening, contain acetaminophen and an antihistamine that helps dry up nasal secretions.
It is used to relieve cold symptoms: stuffy nose, runny nose, headache, and/or fever.

Tablets and capsules should be swallowed with a glass of water, with at least a 4-hour interval between doses. In cases of severe kidney impairment, doses must be spaced at least 8 hours apart.
Treatment should not exceed 4 days.

Prolonged use (more than 5 days) of this medication is not recommended, as it may alter the natural microbial balance of the mouth and throat.
Follow the recommended dosage: if taken in large quantities or repeatedly, this medication, by entering the bloodstream, may affect the nervous system—possibly causing seizures—and the heart.
This medication must not come into contact with the eyes or be inserted into the nose or ears.
If you develop a fever, have purulent sputum, or experience difficulty swallowing food, or if your symptoms worsen or show no improvement after 5 days, CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR.
If you have extensive sores, spreading sores, or a fever: CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.

Acetaminophen is present alone or in combination with other substances in many medications: be sure not to take multiple medications containing acetaminophen at the same time, as taking them together carries a risk of overdose, which can be toxic to the liver.
Avoid alcoholic beverages: increased risk of drowsiness.
Be aware of drowsiness:This medication contains an antihistamine that may cause drowsiness, which can be severe in some people. This drowsiness may be exacerbated by alcohol or other sedative medications. When taking this medication for the first time, make sure you tolerate it well before driving or operating dangerous machinery.
For Athletes: This medication contains a substance considered a stimulant (phenylephrine, pseudoephedrine, or synephrine) that is included in the 2004 monitoring program of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. It may be tested for in athletes’ urine to detect potential misuse.
This medication has no anti-infective effect. If symptoms persist for more than a few days, consult your doctor.
