Hamamelis is veinotonique and is endowed with vitamin properties P. The mother tincture of Hamamelis presents no toxicity.
Indications cover all venous insufficiency: varicose veins, heavy legs, hemorrhoids.
It was also used in bleeding, epistaxis, and petechiae.
Oral drops, solution for oral administration. The drops are diluted in a little water.
The adult dose of 50 drops (= one dose) three times a day.

The witch hazel leaves contain polyphenolic compounds:
· Flavones: quercetol, kaempferol:
· Tannins: with, in particular, the hamamélitanin but also of gallic acid and of proanthocyanidols.
The bark is much richer in the sheet hamamélitanin
