Rennie Menthe Bayer is indicated for adults (aged 15 and over) for heartburn and acid reflux. It is available at a low price in boxes of 48 chewable tablets from our online pharmacy.
For warnings, precautions and contraindications, please refer to the package insert.
This medicine contains topical antacids. They act by neutralizing the acids secreted by the stomach. It is used in the treatment of heartburn.
The main causes of heartburn are increased gastric acid production and reflux into the esophageal tube. Four groups of patients can be distinguished in detail:
It should be noted that obese patients and smokers are at increased risk of heartburn.
This class of antacids neutralizes stomach acidity.
FOR ADULTS ONLY (15 years and over).
The usual dosage per 24 hours is:
Treatment duration is limited to 10 days.
Rennie sugar-free pastilles are taken without water, and sucked at the first symptoms of heartburn. Suck 1 or 2 lozenges, repeating if necessary. For rapid relief, chew the first lozenge. A maximum dose of 8 lozenges per day should not be exceeded, nor maintained beyond a few days.
What are the lifestyle tips to avoid heartburn problems?
Eat smaller, more frequent meals, rather than large quantities of food at a time.
Avoid fatty, fried and spicy foods, which can irritate the stomach.
Don't eat just before going to bed, and wait at least 2 hours after a meal before going to bed.
Avoid drinking large quantities of coffee, tea or soft drinks, which can cause acid reflux.
Avoid smoking or using tobacco products, which can irritate the stomach and aggravate heartburn symptoms.
Maintain a healthy weight to avoid pressure on the stomach.
Avoid wearing tight clothing around the waist, which can put pressure on the stomach.
Use pillows to elevate the head of the bed to help prevent acid reflux at night.
Consult a physician if you have frequent symptoms of heartburn that are not relieved by lifestyle changes or over-the-counter medications.

Precaution of use
Box of 48 sugar-free lozenges
This medicine may be available over the counter in some pharmacies; however, don't hesitate to ask your pharmacist for advice. A balanced diet, slow mastication, avoiding foods that are difficult to digest and alcoholic beverages can often reduce symptoms of acid reflux or stomach inflammation. If you are a smoker, continuing to smoke is a major obstacle to treatment: nicotine increases gastric acidity and reduces the effectiveness of the muscle that closes the junction between the esophagus and the stomach. For more details, see our advice section: Gastric reflux.
Caution: medication is not a product like any other. Read the package insert carefully before ordering. Keep medicines out of the reach of children. If symptoms of heartburn persist, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice. Beware of incompatibilities with your current products.
