1. WHAT IS ALODONT, mouthwash solution AND WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
This drug is a mouthwash.
It is recommended as an adjunctive local treatment for infections of the mouth, or as a treatment following surgery of the oral cavity.
2. WHAT DO I HAVE TO KNOW BEFORE USING ALODONT, mouthwash solution?
Never use Alodont, mouthwash solution:
- if you are allergic to cetylpyridinium chloride, chlorobutanol hemihydrate, leugenol or any of the other ingredients listed in section 6.

Children
Do not use on children under 7 years of age.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or may take any other medicines.

3. HOW TO USE ALODONT, mouthwash solution?
Always use this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if in doubt.
RESERVED FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN OVER 7 YEARS OF AGE.
For topical use as a mouthwash.
Do not swallow.
The recommended dosage for adults is 3 mouthwashes a day with pure product, keeping the product in the mouth for one minute.
Always use this product exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if in doubt.
Use in children and adolescents
For children aged 7 to 12: 3 mouthwashes a day with the product diluted 50% with water.
Duration of treatment
Treatment should not exceed 5 days without medical advice.
If you have used more ALODONT, mouthwash solution than you should have
Overdosage is not expected under normal conditions of use. Certain constituents of this medicine (essential oils) may, in excessive doses, cause neurological accidents such as convulsions in children.
In case of old or recent epilepsy, ask your doctor for advice.

4. WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS?
Like all medicines, ALODONT, mouthwash solution may have undesirable effects, although not everyone is subject to them: due to the presence of terpene derivatives and if recommended doses are not followed:
- risk of convulsions in infants and children,
- possibility of agitation and confusion in the elderly.
Very rarely, the following adverse reactions have been reported: mouth irritation and systemic allergic reaction.

5. HOW TO CONSERVE ALODONT, mouthwash solution?
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the packaging and bottle. The expiration date refers to the last day of that month.
Do not dispose of any medicine down the drain or in the household waste. Ask your pharmacist to identify any medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.
