Bronchial secretions are defined by the accumulation of mucus in the bronchi. They often constitute a symptom of acute bronchitis, a frequent pathology in winter. Secretions are usually accompanied by a fatty cough, sore throat and fever. To eliminate secretions, bronchial thinners may be prescribed. Composed mainly of water, these drugs prevent clogging of the bronchi and prevent breathing problems.
