Our advice and expert advice in pharmacy
Actinic keratosis is a skin lesion associated with accelerated aging in relation to over-exposure to the sun. It can occur in the middle of life in men and women who have exposed their skin too much to the sun and especially without protection. The most characteristic manifestation of this disease is a kind of recurrent crust on a skin a little red, rough, most often located on the face, the back of the hands ... and on the skull in bald men. The men and women most at risk are those with skin and light eyes ("light phototype").
Many people developing the disease, have no symptoms. Only skin changes (spots, redness, burns, etc.) can be seen. In cases of symptomatic development, these clinical manifestations include:
- a sensation of roughness on the surface of the skin;
- the development of rough tasks;
- itching and burning of the skin
- drying of the lips.
