Milprazin is a broad-spectrum dewormer, meaning it is effective against a variety of internal parasites common in cats. It treats mixed infestations caused by immature and adult cestodes (flatworms) and nematodes (roundworms) belonging to different species. Targeted parasites include Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus multilocularis, Ancylostoma tubaeforme, and Toxocara cati.
In addition to its effectiveness against intestinal worms, Milprazin also provides protection against heartworm disease, a potentially serious condition caused by the Dirofilaria immitis worm. How often should I deworm my cat?
It actually depends on many factors: the animal’s diet, its health status (a weakened animal is more vulnerable to infestations), its environment and lifestyle (if it spends a lot of time outdoors and eats things lying on the ground, such as other animals’ feces, etc.), or whether it has fleas.
