Bach Flower Roch Rose is made from an aqueous extract from Helianthemum nummularium. Behind this scientific name hides a pretty perennial plant from hot regions: the common helianthemum, also called yellow helianthemum, rounded leaf helianthemum or even nummular helianthemum. Its leaves, elongated and very narrow, grow in opposite directions on the stem. Hairy, they are white below and very green above.
The yellow helianthemum has the particularity of having very delicate flowers: they only hatch in full sun and rarely last more than a day. They are so fragile that it only takes a light touch for their petals to fall ... This semi-creeping plant is however much stronger than it looks, because it manages to flower in difficult conditions to say the least. It can thrive very well in dry and stony ground, exposed to the maximum to the fiery rays of the sun. It is therefore not uncommon to see its beautiful flowers with five bright yellow petals blooming in the heart of gravel pits, from June to July. Given its capacities, yellow helianthemum is also often used to arrange rockeries in gardens and to brighten up low walls.
