Our advice and advice from pharmacy experts
Bad breath (halitosis) is a widespread problem that affects women and men of all ages. Studies show that up to 50% of people experience problems with their breath.
The remedies used for 2,000 years have evolved little to counter bad breath : We classically know that you need rest, drink plenty of water and eat parsley. Bad breath can have significant social consequences. Most people who have bad breath are unaware of the problem because they tend to adapt to their own body scents.
It is therefore difficult to determine whether their own breath smells bad.
In all cases, you must talk to your dental surgeon who can treat the root causes of halitosis : Caries tartar loosening (periodontal pockets).
It comes from the oral cavity.
The most common misconception about bad breath is that it originates in the stomach, but its origin is almost always in the oral cavity, more precisely in 90% of cases. Anyone can suffer from bad breath at some point in their life.
How does bad breath develop and what causes it?
Bad breath is caused by the growth of certain bacteria in the oral cavity: between the teeth and in the cavity at the back of the tongue.
When these bacteria break down food particles, smelly sulfur gases are formed and these cause bad breath in the exhaled air. CB12 neutralizes and prevents the formation of these gases.
Some pathologies can be responsible for bad breath :
- Diabetic ketoacidosis causes a sweet or fruity acetone odor;
- liver failure causes a faintly sulfurous odor
- kidney failure causes the smell of urine or ammonia.
