M.O. COCHON Ointment for Warts, Corns, and Calluses, 10 g: Thismedication contains a substance designed to dissolve keratin, the outermost layer of the skin, whose localized thickening causes corns and calluses. It is used for the topical treatment of corns, calluses, partridge eyes, and warts.

A callus (or corn) is a thickening of the skin’s outermost layer, the epidermis. In most cases, calluses are found on the sole of the foot, and sometimes on the palm of the hand. Although a benign condition, foot call uses can nevertheless cause significant discomfort when walking and may even become infected, requiring surgical intervention.
Warts are highly contagious and are more common in people with weakened immune systems. Warts are transmitted from one person to another or from one part of the body to another on the same person through direct contact with the infected area. More than 50% of warts disappear on their own within two years. However, they are unsightly and can be painful, particularly in the case of plantar warts. This is why patients often choose to treat these warts rather than wait for them to go away on their own.

It is used for the topical treatment of corns, calluses, partridge eyes, and warts.
The main cause ofcornsandcallusesis repeated friction between the skin and the shoe, but foot deformities can also lead to the development of corns. In fact, an unbalanced foot or an angled forefoot causes friction thatpromotes the formation of corns.
Friction and/or excessive pressure on the bones of the foot cause the skin to thicken by stimulating the production ofkeratin, the primary protein in the epidermis.
In addition to thepainandthickening of the skincaused by corns and calluses, they can also lead to limping, a shift in weight-bearing that can then lead to bone and joint disorders, and suppuration resulting from infection of the bursa located under the callus or under thearea of friction.

In case of arteritis, diabetes or neuropathy, consult your doctor before using this medication.
This product is caustic. Do not protrude beyond the area to be treated.
Stop application in case of pain.
This product should not be applied over a large area.
Precautions for use
If you have failed to take the medication properly, or in the event of a recurrence, consult your doctor. It may be useful to investigate the cause and treat it accordingly (orthopedic measures of correction of the support, modification of the footing).
Do not use on mucous membranes.
Do not overflow on healthy skin.

Every night, after a warm bath, carefully coat the lesion without spilling over the healthy skin.
Cover with a dressing at night.
In the case of a wart, more prolonged treatment may be necessary
