Our brands Shampoo for children

If children are left to choose their bubble bath themselves, the choice will be quick: it will undoubtedly be the one bearing the effigy of their favorite hero or another bubble gum fragrance. However, before achieving their desires, you should know that children's shower gel and other dedicated hygiene care must be chosen with care. At this age their skin is often fragile, it is preferable to use gentle products.

Child hygiene: what to take into account when choosing?

To properly select children's hygiene care , it is important to look at their composition and therefore the list of ingredients they contain.

• SLS

Molecules, such as sodium laureth (or lauryl) sulfate, also called SLS, are part of the list of products that are really to be avoided. They are surfactants, that is to say they are used to lather the shampoo or shower gel in which they are found. Problem: these two detergent-acting molecules irritate the skin, mucous membranes and eyes. If you use treatments that contain SLS too often, you can damage the skin and its protective layer. The risk is to cause itching, redness or irritation, even allergies in children. The ideal is therefore to choose products based on natural surfactants, from coconut for example (coco-glucoside or lauryl glucoside). Side foam, the result will be the same.

• Parabens

Although they tend to be used less and less in cosmetics, parabens can still sometimes be used in body care. These preservatives, available under different names ending in parabens, can be the cause of allergies. They are also suspected of being endocrine disruptors.

• Perfumes and essential oils

Although not aggressive in itself, perfume (and therefore alcohol) should be banned from the formulation of products for children, as well as essential oils which are sometimes used to flavor body care. Perfumes (such as limonene) are indeed allergenic substances, which can therefore cause allergies. Essential oils are very powerful products, very little of which can be used at a young age so it is best to avoid them.

The practical aspect: format, flavor:

When it comes to child care, practicality should not be overlooked. It is indeed necessary to turn to a shampoo and a shower gel that they like, easy to use and to take in hand. Odor level, for example prefer a gourmet or sweet scent (such as fruit). Baby products are generally quite discreet, and do not contain synthetic fragrance or alcohol.

Shower gel or bubble bath: what's the difference?

The children's shower gel and the children's bubble bath have more or less the same role: to wash the body. The bubble bath , by its composition, tends to foam more, and therefore to be preferred in the bath to distract children. The shower gel, for its part, foams a little less. In the ranges for toddlers, who do not have a lot of hair, the shower gel or the bubble bath also usually acts as a shampoo. It can be used for both the body and the scalp. These two children's bath products are convenient to use due to their liquid format: just one press is enough to wash the body of little ones or babies .

Shampoo for children: Find a selection of shampoo to treat your child. Fight effectively against the small inconveniences of everyday life with effective and quality remedies.
