What are Urgo Honey-Infused Healing Bandages used for?
Urgo Honey Healing Bandages are recommended for first- and second-degree burns and superficial wounds. Highly effective for all ages and the whole family—we’re all prone to minor injuries during our various activities, such as leisure time, gardening, DIY projects, or even during outings and walks. When a wound oozes (exudate) after bleeding—which is often the case following a burn, for example—don’t be caught off guard; always have the right supplies on hand to treat and protect the injury. A blister can form much faster than you think.
The Urgo Honey Healing Dressing is a sterile dressing featuring a hydro-honey pad. The honey trapped within the pad has osmotic properties that help absorb exudate. In addition, its high flavonoid content helps reduce inflammation and relieve pain. This hydrogel, which combines natural medical-grade honey and water, also helps maintain a moist environment conducive to proper healing of wounds and burns.
The honey hydrogel dressing does not stick to the skin, allowing for gentle removal without damaging the skin, thereby promoting optimal healing. Urgo Honey healing dressings have a semi-permeable texture that allows the skin to breathe, is water-resistant, and provides complete protection against external contaminants. Lightweight and discreet, with a fine texture, once applied, it feels like a second skin—you’ll quickly forget it’s there. Ultra-thin and flexible, it moves with you for maximum comfort.
For better healing of wounds and superficial burns, be sure to add Urgo Honey Healing Bandages to your bag and first-aid kit. Small, thin, practical, and incredibly effective, these bandages will be your go-to solution for all the little everyday ailments the whole family faces.
We also offer Urgo Extreme Cut-to-Size Bandages (6 cm x 1 m) at the best price in our online pharmacy.
How should you use these Urgo brand dressings?
Urgo Honey Healing Bandages should be used for superficial burns; hold the wound under cold (not ice-cold) water for 15 minutes to limit the spread of the burn. If a blister has formed, do not pop it.
Whether it’s a wound or a first- or second-degree burn, follow these steps:
Wash your hands. Clean the wound with water or saline solution. Disinfect the wound and the surrounding area with an antiseptic solution (alcohol-free). Gently pat dry with a sterile gauze pad, without rubbing. Rinse with water or saline solution.
Stop any bleeding by applying pressure with a sterile gauze pad.
Open the packet, remove the adhesive backing, and apply the dressing.
Monitor the wound and the surrounding area regularly.
Replace the bandage, carefully following the instructions for use.
