First, make sure the switch is in the “off” position. Remove one of the blue plates from its packaging. Slide the plate under the protective heating grid.
Detach the triangular cover located underneath the device. Remove the small protective cap from the butane cartridge and screw it firmly into the device. Turn the cartridge clockwise until it clicks into place. Make sure the canister is fully inserted. Replace the triangular cover.
To light the lantern, rotate the collar on the top to the “ON” position; gas will begin to escape.
Place the lantern in the center of the area you want to heat. Do not touch the heating plate; it becomes hot after a few minutes.
When finished using the lantern, turn the ring on top to the “OFF” position. Allow the lantern to cool completely before storing it.
