What are Activox Sore Throat lozenges used for?

ArkoMedica Activox is a medical device specially formulated to protect the throat lining and relieve sore throats as well as dry coughs, particularly those caused by irritation or allergies.

Its formula contains a dry extract of marshmallow root, which is naturally rich in mucilage and polysaccharides, as well as sodium hyaluronate. These components have mucoadhesive properties.

As the tablet dissolves in the mouth, they form a hydrogel film that adheres to the throat’s mucous membrane. This barrier effect helps protect irritated tissues from external irritants.

This mechanical action helps reduce throat irritation and inflammation. It also provides a soothing effect for dry, non-productive coughs —that is, coughs without phlegm.

Activox lozenges have a natural lemon flavor. They are suitable for adults, adolescents, and children ages 6 and older, when used as directed.

If a sore throat or cough persists for more than four days, medical advice is necessary. A consultation is also recommended in the event of a high fever, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or a worsening of symptoms.

We also offerArkopharma Flash'Rub 1ers Signes at the best price in our online pharmacy.

How should you take these lozenges for a sore throat?

Let them dissolve in the mouth without chewing.

  • Children ages 6 to 12: Take 3 lozenges per day (between meals). Doses should be spaced at least 4 hours apart.
  • Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: Take 3 to 6 lozenges per day (between meals). Doses should be spaced at least 2 hours apart.

Spread doses throughout the day.

Our Tips and Expert Advice

If you have a sore throat, stay hydrated by drinking water or lukewarm beverages regularly. Honey can provide soothing relief for adults and children over one year of age. Gargling with lukewarm salt water is also a simple way to ease discomfort.

Avoid tobacco, alcohol, irritating foods, and very hot beverages. Ventilate rooms, maintain adequate humidity, and rest your voice. Depending on your needs, soothing lozenges, a throat spray, or a gargle solution can complement these measures.

Consult a healthcare professional if symptoms persist, worsen, or are accompanied by a high fever, enlarged lymph nodes, a rash, or difficulty breathing or swallowing.
