They are generally gentler on the scalp, non-toxic to the patient, and environmentally friendly. So far, these new products have not caused resistance in lice and do not irritate the scalp. They can be used on children as young as 6 months. The lotions are applied section by section to dry hair, and the application time varies by product, ranging from 10 minutes to 12 hours. Simply rinse the hair with a mild shampoo and then comb through it with a fine-toothed comb to remove the dead lice. It is recommended to repeat the treatment the next day or a few days later. These products generally contain silicone compounds (dimethicone, cyclomethicone).
