Clary Sage is a perennial plant from southern France, whose flowers are steam-distilled to extract the essential oil.

How to use this essential oil

Oral: * Through the skin: *** Diffusion: *

By mouth(hot flushes): 2 drops on a neutral tablet 3 times a day.
By skin(heavy periods, pain): 2 to 5 drops undiluted or diluted in a vegetable oil and massage into the lower abdomen 3 times a day.

Painful periods (adults ): 2 drops of Clary Sage essential oil + 2 drops of Cypress essential oil, 2 drops of this mixture + 2 drops of Evening Primrose vegetable oil to massage the lower abdomen.

Excess perspiration (adults): 2 drops of Clary Sage essential oil + 1 drop of Sweet Geranium essential oil + 2 drops of Cypress essential oil + 2 drops of Sweet Almond vegetable oil, 2 drops of this mixture for local application.

Precautions for use

  • Do not use after drinking alcohol, as it may cause nausea, vomiting and migraines.
  • Not recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding women.
  • Not recommended for children (risk of hormonal interference).
  • Not recommended for asthmatics without the advice of an allergist.
  • Not recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding women, or for children or adolescents under the age of puberty.
  • Avoid in cases of cancer or a history of hormone dependence
  • Beware of possible gynecomastizing effects with prolonged use:linalyl acetate and linalool (its alcohol) show anti-androgenic activity and low estrogenic activity by binding to estrogen receptors. These molecules inhibit testosterone production. As an endocrine disrupter, avoid prolonged use in males!
  • Avoid in association with estrogen
  • Not recommended for people with hormone-dependent cancer or damage to hormone-sensitive organs (breast, ovary, uterus).
