How do you use this product?

Using Apilife Var® is simple and effective. The optimal time to treat your hives depends on weather conditions, but it is generally recommended to apply it in late summer, right after the honey harvest. The ideal temperature range is between 18°C and 28°C, although the product remains effective between 15°C and 30°C. For a complete treatment, you should use one strip per hive each week for four weeks, which requires about one and a half packets per hive.

Here are the steps for using Apilife Var®:

• Open the packet containing the two tablets.
• Break one tablet into three or four pieces.
• Open the hive and place the pieces around the edges of the brood nest, on top of the frames.
• Close the hive and let the product take effect for 7 to 8 days. Repeat this process three to four times with the remaining tablets.

In colder regions, it is recommended to place two tablets at the same time, then replace them after 14 to 15 days for best results.

Precautions for Use

• Treat the entire apiary at the same time to prevent reinfestation.
• Ensure the colonies are strong to reduce the risk of looting, and do not begin treatment if looting is already occurring.
