Apilifevar® consists of 4 active ingredients: Thymol, Eucalyptus essential oil, Menthol and Camphor, absorbed by an inert support, vermiculite. Apilifevar® is a natural solution for the treatment of varroosis in bees (Varroa Destructor) and against the Tracheal mite (Acaparis Woodi Ren).
Natural solution
Apilifevar® consists of 4 active ingredients: Thymol, Eucalyptus essential oil, Menthol and Camphor, absorbed by an inert support, vermiculite. Apilifevar® is a natural solution for the treatment of varroosis in bees (Varroa Destructor) and against the Tracheal mite (Acaparis Woodi Ren).
Action by contact and "suffocation" of the mite, caused by inhalation of vapors of essential oils that saturate the environment (hive), with the resulting fall of the parasite from the body of the bee.
No resistance
No phenomenon of resistance or habituation to Apilifevar® has never been saved unlike synthetic chemicals derived from petrochemicals (pyrethroids, organophosphates, amidines and others) that show ever lower efficiency levels.
Safe use
The Apilifevar® components are substances absolutely safe for the consumer, bees and bee products; these components are indeed included in Annex II of Regulation EEC No 2377/90, which extends the list of substances not subject to maximum residue limit (MRL) in animal foods, so even honey. EASY TO USE
- Open the bag containing 2 tablets
- Take 2 tablets and divide into 3 or 4 moreaux.
- Open the hive and place the pieces on the periphery of the brood nest on top of the frames.
- Close the hive and leave the product for 7-8 days depending on temperature. Repeat this process 3 or 4 times with other tablets and remove any residue at the end of the cycle. It takes 3 platelets (or even 4, mainly to the countries of northern Europe) per hive for a full treatment.
For warmer countries of southern Europe, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, including France, the manufacturer states that three plates are sufficient.
