When should you use this nourishing makeup remover oil?

MKL Green Nature Nourishing Makeup Remover Oil is an oil that transforms upon contact with water so it can be rinsed off. It combines a complex of three oils—buriti oil, sweet almond oil, and sunflower oil—with a plant-based emulsifier. It’s a facial cleanser for sensitive skin and the first step in a double-cleansing routine.

It removes makeup—even waterproof makeup that micellar waters struggle to remove—such as long-lasting mascara, long-wear foundation, and water-resistant sunscreen.

It nourishes the skin while removing makeup, thanks to sweet almond oil and buriti oil, which are rich in antioxidants.

It leaves the skin hydrated, without tightness or a greasy film once rinsed off. It can be used on the face and eyes, morning and night, and is suitable for sensitive skin.

After rinsing, apply a skincare product suited to your skin type. For dry skin, we recommend Eucerin UreaRepair Face Cream with 5% urea, which prolongs the comfort provided by the oil.

How do you remove makeup with this face and eye oil?

Directions for Use

Pour a small amount of oil into the palms of your hands, rub your palms together to warm it, then gently massage your face and eyes. Rinse.

Precautions

  • For external use only. When using around the eyes, massage with your eyes closed; the oil may temporarily blur your vision if it comes into contact with the eyes: rinse with clean water.
  • Contains sweet almond oil: avoid if you have a known allergy to tree nuts.
  • The formula is fragranced: avoid if you have a known allergy to fragrances. If you have sensitive skin, test on a small area first.
  • Close the bottle tightly and handle it with dry hands: the oil can make the floor and sink slippery.
  • If redness or itching occurs, discontinue use.
  • Store away from heat and light; use by the date indicated on the packaging. Keep out of reach of children.

What are the ingredients in this buriti oil makeup remover?

Our Experts’ Tips on MKL Makeup Remover Oil

Apply the makeup remover oil to a dry face using dry hands: this allows it to dissolve the makeup. Water is only used at the end to emulsify the oil and rinse it off. When applied to wet skin, it loses much of its effectiveness.

For combination or blemish-prone skin, a two-step evening cleansing routine—first with oil, then a gentle cleanser—removes sunscreen residue much more effectively than a single product. In the morning, a light cleanser or micellar water is usually sufficient.

FAQ

Is MKL Green Nature Nourishing Makeup Remover Oil suitable for oily skin?

Yes. A makeup-removing oil that is thoroughly rinsed off does not leave the skin feeling greasy: it dissolves sebum and makeup, then washes away with water. Those with oily skin often follow up with a foaming cleanser as part of a double cleanse.

Is MKL Green Nature Nourishing Makeup Remover Oil suitable for contact lens wearers?

It may blur vision if it comes into contact with the eyes. Contact lens wearers should rinse it off thoroughly with their eyes closed and should preferably remove their lenses before putting them back in.

How many pumps of MKL Green Nature Nourishing Makeup Remover Oil are needed?

Two to three pumps are generally enough for the face and eyes. Heavy makeup may require one more pump.
