Its formula combines 5% urea, ceramide NP, and natural moisturizing factors (NMFs): lactate, PCA, and amino acids—molecules that the skin produces naturally to retain water. It is a lightweight, moisturizing day cream.
Urea and NMFs improve the skin’s ability to retain water: its hydration level increases, and this effect was measured over 48 hours in an instrumental test on 27 volunteers. Ceramide NP replenishes the skin’s natural surface lipids, and the formula prevents moisture loss throughout the day.
Upon application, the cream absorbs easily, instantly hydrates, and reduces feelings of tightness in the skin. It is a comfortable daily treatment for skin lacking both water and lipids.
