What does Lierac's Soin Lift Regard do for the eye area?

Le Soin Lift Regard is the eye contour treatment from Lierac’s Lift Integral line. It targets the signs of aging that affect the eye area: wrinkles, loss of skin firmness, and sagging eyelids. It is part of a line of anti-wrinkle treatments designed for an area where the skin is thinner than elsewhere on the face. Its formula combines three ingredients that the line groups under the name StructureLift complex: a rose flower extract from Grasse (Rosa centifolia), known as rose RNA; a black tulip extract (Tulipa gesneriana) patented by Lierac; and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid. The rose is grown in Grasse without pesticides, and the black tulip comes from Holland.

The skin around the eyes is thinner than that on the rest of the face, has few sebaceous glands, and is put under strain with every blink. Over the years, it loses firmness and shows signs of aging more easily: fine lines deepen at the corners of the eyes, and the upper eyelid appears heavier. This treatment firms and tightens the skin in this area and smooths out wrinkles. In a dermatological evaluation conducted by the brand on 25 women, after 3 months of twice-daily application, the eye area was 38% smoother, skin tone improved by 25%, and eyelid sagging was reduced by 13%.

Its light, melt-in texture glides on without weighing down the eyelid, leaving the eyes looking fresh. The tube features a ceramic applicator tip that provides a cooling sensation upon contact with the skin—a welcome feeling upon waking. The formula is designed for all skin types, including sensitive skin, and has been tested under dermatological and ophthalmological supervision. Alongside the StructureLift complex, shea butter and glycerin provide comfort to this delicate skin. Its ingredient list is fragrance-free.

It fits seamlessly into your morning and evening routine, whether your eyes look tired at the end of the day or your eyelids appear less firm in photos. In the morning, it prepares the eye area before applying makeup; in the evening, it takes over once makeup has been removed, when the skin is no longer exposed to the wind, cold, and light of the day. It’s also easy to pack for travel, thanks to its compact size.

An eye contour treatment should be applied to clean skin, free of mascara, without rubbing. We recommend Cattier’s two-phase eye and lip makeup remover: its oil phase dissolves even waterproof makeup, and its water phase leaves the skin clean without the need for vigorous rubbing on the eyelids. The eye treatment is then applied to an area free of any mascara residue and that hasn’t been irritated by rubbing with a cotton pad.

How do you apply Le Soin Lift Regard to the eyes and lips?

Directions for Use

Apply morning and night to the eye and lip areas.

Precautions

  • For external use only. Do not apply inside the eye; in case of contact, rinse thoroughly with clean water.
  • A small amount is sufficient—about the size of a quinoa seed per eye: using too much product in this area may promote the appearance of milia, small white bumps under the skin.
  • Contact lens wearers: Handle lenses with clean hands, ensuring no product residue remains on your fingers.
  • Do not apply to an irritated or swollen eyelid, or to broken skin.
  • Do not use if you have a known allergy to any of the listed ingredients.
  • Discontinue use if redness, stinging, watery eyes, or eyelid swelling occurs after application, and consult a pharmacist or doctor.
  • A drooping eyelid on one side or that occurs suddenly, swelling or a puffiness that appears abruptly, or a red and painful eye should be examined by a doctor: this cosmetic product is not intended to treat these conditions.
  • Close the tube tightly after each use. Keep out of reach of children.

Our expert tips for eye contour care

In this area, application technique is just as important as the formula. Gently massage the product in using the tip of your middle or ring finger—the fingers that apply the least pressure—by lightly stroking the skin without stretching it. Start under the eye, along the bone, then move upward toward the upper eyelid without going back over the lash line. Lierac formulas can be applied to the upper eyelid, very close to the eye: this is precisely where the warning about quantity becomes crucial, as applying too much product can cause it to migrate toward the eye or lead to the formation of milia.

Consistency does the rest. The promised results are based on two applications a day for three months: a tube used only intermittently will not deliver the expected results. And the eye area also needs protection during the day, with sunscreen on the upper cheekbones and sunglasses, because UV rays are among the main causes of visible skin sagging. Finally, puffy eyelids upon waking are often due to sleep, salt, or alcohol consumed the night before: adding more skincare won’t make a difference.

FAQ

Should I apply Le Soin Lift Regard before or after my day cream?

It should be applied before your face cream, after any serum you may use. The face cream is then applied, avoiding the eye area, which prevents overloading such delicate skin.

Can I apply my makeup over Le Soin Lift Regard?

Yes, as long as you let the treatment absorb for one to two minutes before applying concealer or eyeshadow. When applied in moderation, it won’t cause your makeup to smudge.

Does Le Soin Lift Regard reduce my dark circles and puffiness?

It is not designed for that: the brand makes no claims regarding its effects on dark circles or puffiness. It targets the appearance of wrinkles and the firmness of the eye contour. Dark circles and puffiness are best addressed with eye care products specifically formulated for them.
